Australians permitted to wear the Korea War Service Medal

Owen Zupp - Tuesday, May 15, 2018

From the Australian Department of Defence.

"The Republic of Korea War Service Medal was introduced by South Korea in 1951 to recognise the assistance provided by members of the United Nations forces in combatting communist aggression in Korea.

During the Korean War, Australia used the Imperial Honours and Awards System and was therefore subject to the award policies set by the United Kingdom at the time. The regulations of the day did not permit the acceptance or wearing of this medal by British Commonwealth military personnel.

Following a campaign by the Australian Council of Korea Veterans Associations, a new offer of the medal was made by the South Korean government which was accepted, and approved for wear, by the Governor-General in 2017."

The Practical Pilot. By Owen Zupp.

Owen Zupp - Thursday, May 10, 2018

The Practical Pilot book is now available in paperback.

The book combines the two volumes that have been previously available as eBooks, with a couple of bonus chapters. There were a lot of emails asking for this to happen and I am pleased to announce that it can be found at the usual online outlets and here at my website.

Thanks again for the support.

Cheers,

Owen

A Foray into Fiction at Wattpad. By Owen Zupp.

The Cranmore Haunting

A Foray Into Fiction on Wattpad.

Hi All,

I have decided to let my writing take a detour and I am releasing my first fictional work, "The Cranmore Haunting", on Wattpad. For those, like me a short time ago, who haven't heard of Wattpad, it's a site online where writers and readers can come together for free and comment on what they are reading. This is an ideal means for me to venture into this new realm and you will be able to read the book for free as I release it chapter by chapter. CLICK HERE to read, "The Cranmore Haunting".

The blurb at Wattpad reads;

"Does insanity ever die?

Mike Sarik had walked the fine line between life and death for decades. First as a combat medic and now on the streets of his homeland. He thought that he had seen it all. Haunted by his own demons, his sanity is stretched to the limit when another tortured soul emerges from the shadows.

Will Sarik's discovery redeem him, or condemn him like the ghostly remnants of Cranmore Hospital's horrific past?"

There'll be a new chapter each week, so I look forward to sharing the story of "The Cranmore Haunting" with you.

Cheers,

Owen
